Clean up ganga says NGT!

A Ganga river has the 100 meter of Haridwar and Unnao is decided as no construction, no development area. The national green tribunal on Thursday decided to enlist the people who throw waste in Ganga water will compensate Rs 50,000. The tribunal has introduced a complete restriction of solid waste, electrical waste etc.. According to the judgment page of 543, MC Mehta, petition of Ganga pollution, NGT said should not dump in water or junkyard may come out with 500 meters.

The NGT chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar has intimated the water flow from Haridwar to Ganga canal should not fall below 20%. On six weeks from Thursday, UP government ordered to clean sewage particles and drainage which connects Ganga should be dredged. They also stressed that government schemes have spent 100 crores for cleaning up Ganga even though the water is still dirty. The NGT said if the corporate needs of water to extract they should get proper permission from “Central Ground Water Authority”.
