Boss Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reported on Monday that from January 1, 2018, free power will be provided 24×7 to the horticulture segment everywhere throughout the state. He said it was a New Year blessing to ranchers, and Telangana will make history as the main state in the nation to give 24-hour free energy to somewhere in the range of 23 lakh pump-sets. Talking in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Rao said that the administration will start expelling auto-starters from rural pump-sets in December.
“Try not to surmise that we are taking up this drive to spare power. We are more worried about sparing ground water than control. With the accessibility of energy round-the-clock, agriculturists will have the adaptability to utilize borewells whenever according to their benefit.
