Three terrorists were killed in an encounter between the Security forces and Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in Arwani village, Anantnag district. Up on receiving intelligence information, a joint operation conducted by Special Operations Group, Army and the CRPF, conducted an attack on the militants. In this attack, top commander Junaid Mattu, his close associate Muzammil and one more militant was also killed in the attack. It is believed that Junaid Mattu was involved in several terror strikes on various India military camps in the Kashmir. Mutt joined the militant group when he was in 18 years and he was one among the top 12 terrorists Indian army is looking out for and also army has declared an prize money of 10 lakhs if any one gives information about him.
