Dasari Narayan Rao Passed Away Due to Heart Failure!!

Darsakaratna Dasari Narayan Rao(75), the greatest film director and savior of Telugu Film Industry, passed away at 7 PM due to heart failure in KIMS hospital. Few days back he was operated due to failure of kidneys and food pipe, due to failure of heart of he was again admitted in the hospital today. With his death entire south film fraternity left in shock.

He was born on 4th May 1942 in Palakollu, West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. He directed in total 151 movies. He directed and acted in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada Languages. As a honors for his film making, he gained 2 National awards, 9 state awards and 4 Film fare awards. For his great achievements he was honored with Alluri Ramalingaiaha and Raghupathi Venkaiah, and Life time achievement awards.

He is the man who made the entire industry recall that Director is the “CAPTAIN OF THE FILM”. He made films with top heros(like RamaRao, Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, Krishna, Shoban Babu, Mohan Babu, Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and so on) as well as with medium budget heros, irrespective of the hero he delivered hits to the industry. Doing so he showed to the industry that story is beyond any star hero or star cast.

He was known for his helping nature. He introduced many star technicians to the industry. The contributions made by him needs no mention and entire Telugu film industry vows a lot for the help he has done to those who are in trouble. When Kamal Hassan movie was facing ban in entire India including Tamil Nadu, Dasari took issue on to his shoulders and made Telugu Film Industry release the movie in Andhra Pradesh. His absence is sure a big loss to the entire Indian Film Industry, especially Telugu Film Industry.
